Editorial policy
Golden Current Review aims to make careful, readable work about gold and its place in material and visual culture. We distinguish what can be observed from what is interpreted, and correct the record when needed.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable published material and take care not to make a single object or tradition stand for all uses of gold. Descriptions, interpretations and uncertainties are kept distinct. We avoid unsupported claims and explain when context affects an answer.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for reader value and clarity. A commercial relationship does not determine our conclusions, and contributors should disclose relevant interests to the editor before work is considered.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or an unclear passage, contact us with the article title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, sponsored or partner material is labelled clearly so it can be distinguished from editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary images.
